  • Accident causation analysis

It has consistently been shown that driver error is a significant cause of accidents and there are human factors issues for every road user involved in a collision. With experts in both Psychology and Ergonomics, we have significant experience in collecting, analysing and interptreting human factors data, particularly in relation to crash and injury causation.

Our on scene accident investigation team routinely conduct witness interviews and understand the complex issues around eyewitness testimony. We can therfore offer independent qualitative analysis of witness statements with comparision to physical evidence.

The VSRC can also offer opinion on human factors issues within individual cases or across clusters of accidents and can advise on data collection methods including the review of questionnaire design and interview structure.
