Overview:
Currently almost 1,400,000 road traffic accidents occur in Europe every year, causing the death of around 40,000 people and injury to another 1,700,000. Real world accident data will be used, in order to find ways to tackle this increasing problem and its consequences. Supervised by Mr. Julian Hill.

Objectives: The objective of the research is to identify the influence of active safety technologies and investigate their effectiveness in terms of ; Road Traffic Accidents Casualty Reductions

Main features of the project: Various accidents attended by the On the Spot (OTS) team, representing different scenarios, will be investigated and specific case studies will be reconstructed using PC-Crash software. This will identify the significance of the active safety technologies.
