Overview This unique, self-funded project looks at the traffic safety situation in the city of Dubai, to establish the extent of the problem, and the possible solutions, based on the experiences of other countries with a better safety record. Supervised by Dr Richard Frampton and Dr Andrew Morris.
Objectives The aim is to eventually draw an effective safety strategy that is based on scientific methods, and that may be applied to other countries in the region in a similar situation
Main features of project This is the first time the VSRC embarks on such a project with a focus on a rapidly developing country, and it allows the establishment of new links between Loughborough and the UAE, and expands the role of the VSRC beyond the European continent. |
